La registrazione dei tumori è un’operazione complessa che richiede l’utilizzo integrato di più fonti (Anagrafe regionale sanitaria - NAR, Registro delle Cause di Morte, Schede di Dimissione Ospedaliera e Registro dei referti di Anatomia Patologica).
Sulla base dei dati di Registro, l’Unità di Epidemiologia elabora statistiche di incidenza e di mortalità per tumori; fornisce allo Screening i dati necessari alla stima di indicatori di efficacia; effettua ricerche sui tumori di interesse per la politica di sanità pubblica dell’ATS.
